The Middle-school comprises classes V to VII. This is a very crucial period, the pre-adolescent years, and to facilitate a ‘holistic development’ we strive to create a child friendly atmosphere, while at the same time dealing with issues concerning students with concern and sensitivity. The Middle-School follows a curriculum based on the guidelines specified by the ICSE.
We have a curriculum that helps:
- Students develop desired attitudes and values along with the inculcation of core life-skills.
- Encourage in students, independent thinking, free and effective expression of ideas and opinions, through speech and writing.
- Build positive values and ensures a child’s involvement with the text as well as the environment.
- Encourages community and social feelings through the Interact Club, Junior Red Cross, Road Safety Patrol, Guides, Scouts, Cubs and Bulbuls, the U.N. Club, and the DEAS (International Award for Young People – IAYP).
- That understands the fact that computers, the information superhighway, multi-media and Computer Based Teaching (CBT) have changed our world. And our teaching-learning must reflect these changes. Hence from Class V to X, we have introduced CBT through networking and Projectors to all the class-rooms, and teachers can use this as an Aid to supplement their teaching. We believe that ‘technology contributes to authentic learning’. Technology also gives teachers a chance to become learners again.
